“Make every second count.”
Captain Colter Stevens wakes up inside the body of a stranger on a Chicago commuter train and is immediately drawn into a mission he does not understand. He must use each brief return to the same moment to search for the person responsible for the train bombing. As the situation repeats, the pressure on him grows and the clues become harder to separate from confusion. The film builds its mystery around a race against time that keeps tightening with every reset.

Duncan Jones directs this science-fiction thriller, which was made in Canada, France and the United States. Jake Gyllenhaal plays Colter Stevens, carrying the film as a soldier forced to act inside another man's life. Michelle Monaghan appears as Christina Warren, while Vera Farmiga plays Colleen Goodwin, the voice guiding the mission. Jeffrey Wright is also part of the cast, adding to the film's tense investigative core.

Set largely in a confined commuter-train world, the film turns an ordinary route into a place of uncertainty and suspicion. Its mood stays urgent and controlled, with the repeated returns to the same event creating a sense of pressure rather than comfort. The story combines identity, investigation and time-bending tension while keeping the emotional stakes close to the surface.
